about
Welcome to Creative Drayton!
Creative Drayton emerged from the beloved Market Drayton Arts Festival, which delighted our community for a decade. Each October, the festival brought a rich tapestry of cultural activities to Market Drayton, inspiring creativity and engagement. One of the festival's standout successes was the annual school calendar competition, involving 13 local schools and fostering young artistic talent—a tradition that continues to thrive.
Our mission at Creative Drayton is to support local artisans and makers in developing their small businesses. We strive to expand opportunities for people in the Market Drayton area to engage in creative activities, nurturing talent and fostering a vibrant community of creativity and innovation.
We are grateful for the unwavering support of the Market Drayton Community Enterprise, a registered charity. Our dedicated steering group, comprising Sarah Huggins, Denise McGowan, and Kimberly Stevens, works tirelessly to guide our initiatives and ensure we continue to build on the strong foundation laid by the Arts Festival.
Join us at Creative Drayton and be a part of our journey to inspire, create, and thrive in the arts. Whether you are an artisan, a maker, or someone who simply loves to create, there is a place for you here. Let's make Market Drayton a hub of creativity together!
